What is diarrhoea?
Diarrhoea is classified as loose, watery and possibly more-frequent bowel movements, Diarrhoea is a common problem which may present alone or be associated with other symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and/or weight loss.
What is Diosmectite?
Diosmectite is a pharmaceutical clay with a high absorption strength indicated in the treatment of acute diarrhoea in both children and adults. Diosmectite is a magnesium and aluminium silicate pharmaceutical clay with a high absorption strength. This allows Diosmectite to absorb liquids in the intestinal lumen and thus increasing consistency of the bowel contents. Diosmectite is indicated in the treatment of acute diarrhoea in both adults and children. A study of the efficacy and safety of diosmectite as add-on treatment of acute diarrhoea in children (2164 children, 1-60months old) has shown that diosmectite is useful in the treatment of acute diarrhoea.
How does dehydration occur?
Dehydration occurs when you use or lose more fluid than you take in, and your body doesn’t have enough water and other fluids to carry out its normal functions. If you don’t replace lost fluids, you will get dehydrated.
Why do you need electrolytes?
